The Reset
Tour Project
A six-month cross-country journey exploring how community is built in a time of disconnection
Through shared meals and honest conversation,
filmmaker and mindfulness mentor Melissa Daniels is hosting intimate community dinners across America—documenting what connection looks like right now.
What is The Reset Tour?
What started as a personal creative reset has grown into a national storytelling project.
The Reset Tour is a six-month journey across the United States, where small groups of people gather around a dinner table to talk about belonging, creativity, loneliness, and what community means in their lives today.
Each gathering becomes part of a larger exploration of human connection during a time when many people feel increasingly isolated.
The tour will ultimately evolve into a multimedia body of work including essays, a short film, a podcast, and a recipe book.

How the Dinners Work
Each dinner brings together 8–12 guests for an evening of shared food and guided conversation.
There is no audience, no stage, and no agenda beyond curiosity.
Guests are invited to reflect on their own experiences with connection and community, and at the end of the evening they write a note for the next dinner’s guests—creating a chain of questions and reflections that travels across the country.
These handwritten notes form a thread connecting each gathering along the tour.
Intentional Curiosity
Why This Matters
More than half of Americans report feeling lonely.
At the same time, many people feel increasingly disconnected from their neighbors, their communities, and even themselves.
The Reset Tour is an attempt to slow down and listen.
By gathering people around a table, the project asks a simple question:
What helps us feel like we belong?
